F-Commerce Summit held with the participation of Facebook-based entrepreneurs

F-Commerce Summit 2023 was held in Dhaka on Friday with social media and Facebook based online entrepreneurs. 300 selected entrepreneurs participated in the day-long event organized by the Bangladesh Institute of Architects at Agargaon in the capital.

Managing Director of SME Foundation Dr. Mohammad Mofizur Rahman was the chief guest at the conference. The a2i Project Director Dr. Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir was present as a special guest.

In the conference, three sessions, three workshops, panel discussions took place on online business. Besides, the importance of digital marketing and media buying was highlighted, said Melonades Digital Executive Vice President Syeda Umme Salma Jhumur. The discussion session was moderated by Munaf Mojib Chowdhury, Partner Director of Httppool Bangladesh.

Besides, Vice President Ishtiaq Shahriar, Head of Digital Assets and Communications Department of bKash, President Nasima Akhtar Nisha and others participated in the panel discussion.

Emphasis was placed on the young entrepreneurs who are interested in business expansion through f-commerce. Organizers said that online business can empower the youth a lot. Each participant was given a certificate for participating in various workshops conducted at the conference.

Regarding the conference, Lion Salma Adil M.F., CFO and Managing Director of Melonades Digital said, "I believe that Facebook-centric businesses will definitely be able to make a significant contribution to the country's economy if entrepreneurs can properly implement all the guidelines discussed today."
